Innovation DuPage Mentoring Overview

Innovation DuPage Mentoring is flexible enough to allow those interested in mentoring to define the specific context and depth of their need and structured enough to ensure impact. As an ID Protégé, you will have access to 1:1 mentorship from an expert in their field who has been vetted by Innovation DuPage.

What Protégés Can Expect
‍

• Participate in introductory calls to help you choose yourmentor.
• Co-design the relationship with your mentor. It can be anything from one phone call to an on-going relationship with regularly scheduled interactions to a purely as-needed basis.
• Spend focused time with your mentor by phone, virtual call,and/or in-person at the cadence that works for you two.
• Mentors will share their relevant experience and expertise.
• Mentors will not do the work for you; they offer guidance, support, and encouragement to accompany you as you produce your desired results.
• Mentors will offer recommendations, connections, and resourcesas appropriate.
• Mentors track the timing and themes of your interactions in ID’s time tracker.
• Respond to periodic surveys to help Innovation DuPage providethe best possible mentoring experiences.
• Attend optional protégé development workshops.
