What an ID Mentor Does
- Participate in introductory calls to determine fit.
- Co-design the relationship with your protégé. It can be anything from one phone call to an on-going relationship with regularly scheduled interactions to a purely as-needed basis.
- Spend focused time with your protégé by phone, virtual call, and/or in-person at the cadence that works for you two.
- Share your relevant experience and expertise.
- Rather than doing the work for your protégé, offer guidance, support, and encouragement to accompany them as they produce their desired results.
- Offer recommendations, connections, and resources as appropriate.
- Track the timing and themes of your interactions with your protégé in ID’s time tracker.
- Respond to periodic surveys to help Innovation DuPage provide the best possible mentoring experiences.
- Attend optional mentor development workshops.
Innovation DuPage Protégés
